What’s in a name?

I’ve struggled with my mental health for many years and one of the things that has greatly helped is music. The name “Instrumentally Deficient” (abbreviated to “InstruDef”) refers to these struggles, how I use music to help me through them, and how the better a musician I become, the better I often feel.

”An Autie Boy” is a reference to how I used to be told I was just a naughty boy when I displayed traits that I now know to be my autistic traits.

“Toby’s Top Tips” refers to the tips of the implements that I use to create my art. It also refers to the illustrated educational hints, tips and materials that I’m creating that you’ll soon be able to find here.
